Greenberg Spine

My practice group

Why I practice with Orthopaedics Northeast

I’m Marc Greenberg, a spine surgeon with Orthopaedics Northeast, known around here as ONE, and part of SpineONE, the group’s spine division. ONE is an independent orthopaedic group that has cared for people in this region since 1962. Here is a little about the group and why I chose to join it.

Why I chose ONE

Three reasons

01

A group that belongs to this community

ONE started in Fort Wayne in 1962 and has stayed rooted here, with offices across Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio so people can be seen close to home, and partnerships with schools, teams, and clubs across the region. I wanted to practice with a group that has been part of this community for that long.

02

The way patients are cared for

ONE is organized into subspecialty divisions, so a spine problem is seen by the spine team and a hip problem by surgeons who focus on hips. When something other than surgery is the right answer, whether that is therapy, an injection, or a pain-management plan, those physicians are in the same group and the handoff is simple. I wanted colleagues I could learn from, and colleagues I could send my own patients to with confidence.

03

Physicians make the decisions

ONE is physician-owned and physician-led. Its surgeons operate at Parkview Ortho Hospital, a hospital devoted entirely to orthopaedic care that Parkview Health and ONE run together and that is partly owned by physicians. Because the group is led by physicians, the people deciding how patients are cared for are doctors, and that matters to me in the office and in the operating room.

Orthopaedics Northeast is an independent, physician-owned orthopaedic group founded in Fort Wayne in 1962. Its physicians cover spine, joint replacement, hand, foot and ankle, sports medicine, and fracture and trauma care, with offices across Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio. The group runs a nonprofit research institute and is a founding member of the Indiana Physicians Health Alliance, a network of independent, physician-led practices.

“It is the mission of Orthopaedics Northeast to provide compassionate orthopedic and related healthcare services in a reassuring environment that improve patient comfort and restore mobility, enhancing the patient’s overall well being.”

SpineONE, the spine division

Within ONE, the spine surgeons and interventional pain physicians work together as SpineONE. That is the team I belong to. It means a patient with neck or back pain can move between nonoperative care, pain management and surgery without leaving the group.

Offices

Where I see patients

I see patients at ONE’s Fort Wayne North, Clinton, and Southwest offices, and in Bryan, Ohio. Appointments with me at any of these offices are scheduled through (260) 484-8551. For a new injury that is not a spine problem, ONE’s OrthoNOW walk-in clinics in Fort Wayne see patients without an appointment.
